American College Test (ACT)

The ACT tests in five different areas:  reading, English, math, scientific reasoning and writing.   The cost of the test is $58.50 with the writing component.  You are eligible for a fee waiver if you are on free or reduced lunch.  To obtain a waiver, contact your counselor.

Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT)

PSAT

All 10th and 11th grade students will take the PSAT/NMSQT on October 19th.  The State of Indiana covers the cost for Sophomores and Juniors.  Freshman can take the PSAT as well, however they will have to pay for the exam.  The cost is $15.  The test will take approximately 2 ½ hours during 1st and 3rd pd. 

 The benefits of taking the PSAT/NMSQT are:

  • Personalized SAT practice on KHAN academy
  • Aligned/similar to the SAT
  • College and career planning
  • Discover AP Potential
  • Entry in the National Merit Scholarship (for Juniors)
  • Provides the opportunity to earn dual credit instead of doing the Accuplacer test.
