Technology

ImageWalk into any classroom at any grade level in the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation, and you will find a host of different types of technological learning tools in use. The EVSC utilizes a one-to-one netbook initiative in all 6th  through 12th grade classrooms. You'll see interactive white boards along with enhanced audio systems to ensure all students hear teachers clearly, as well as document readers that can be displayed on the interactive white boards.

Reitz teachers rely heavily on technology in the classroom.  So, every student is expected to bring his or her netbook to class every day.  Parents can help us by working with their students to create a pattern of charging the netbook each night, placing the netbook where it is less likely to be forgotten, and monitoring how students are using it.

When problems arise with the netbook, students are responsible for taking the netbook to Mr. Hale, our technology aid, for replacement or repair.  They can do this every morning before school begins, during their lunch period, and at the end of the day.
